Body Intelligence
The most sophisticated organic material on the earth is the human body. Our body intelligence is one of the most vital senses that we can connect to. The degree to which you are conscious of your body's feelings and sensations is referred to as body awareness. The education you possess about your body is known as body knowledge.
What you do for and with your body is called bodywork. Your comfort level with your own body language and signals will increase with your level of body awareness. You become more conscious of your body's reactions to stimuli, both internal and external, and to physical activity. The greater your level of body awareness, the more likely you are to make positive decisions.
Knowing your body means that you are aware of evidence-based recommendations for blood pressure, cholesterol threshold, and a healthy weight—all of which are essential for exercise and overall health. With this information, you can conduct independent study to determine the ideal sleep, stress reduction, food, and physical fitness for your needs. Body engagement is a commitment to make healthy changes one step at a time until new habits are formed. You need a strong base of self-motivation, persistence, and the capacity to step outside of your comfort zone in order to make a change and start forming new habits that will enhance your quality of life.
Through physical signals and experiences, your body is always in communication with you. You can choose to ignore them or develop the ability to hear the inner voices that are essential to your best health and personal development.
